Now I lay my final scene,
I hope, an actor, have I been?
Please forgive the things I’ve said,
It was not me, that man is dead.
I had a role, I played it well,
I only hope that you could tell,
That every word was by the script
And when I yelled, my heart was ripped.
Tonight, my friends, we walk away,
We live to act another day.
But those we played out on the stage,
Those ghosts can stay there with their rage.
They are the ones we leave behind,
Put all their demons out of mind.
This night we cheer, eat, drink, and sleep,
And when we wake, our souls we’ll keep.

Reminds me of the Ghostlight soliloquy
