On a Plane With You

On a plane ride so high, oh my, oh my,
Baby Nathan’s first trip, reaching for the sky,
But alas, the AC’s broken, the cabin’s so hot,
Little one’s sweating, in a onesie, a lot!

Parents fanning with magazines, in a tizzy they roam,
While passengers sigh, and they groan, and they groan,
The baby’s in diapers, like a soggy baked bun,
We’re all in this together, but these parents are done!

The baby coos and giggles, not a care in the air,
Unfazed by the heat, he’s a traveller, so rare,
We’re all sweating bullets in a comedy of fate,
But the baby’s smiling brightly; he thinks it’s first-rate!

So here’s to the adventure, in this oven of a plane,
We’ll remember this journey through sunshine and rain,
With a broken AC as our tale to confide,
Baby’s first flight, a hot ride on the sky slide!
