From Zog, To Blog

In the land of Blog Blunder, where ideas grow tall,
Lived a writer named Zog, with no ideas at all.
He sat with a thump in his wobbly chair,
With his fingers all wiggling and tangled with care.

“Oh what should I write?” Zog puzzled and thunk,
As he stared at his screen that was blue like a skunk.
“I need something clever! Some words that go POP!
But my brain’s in a twist, and it just wants to stop.”

He scratched at his noggin, he frowned at his toes,
He tapped on his laptop and wiggled his nose.
“I’ll write about frogs, or the colours of cheese,
Or the way that the wind likes to tickle the trees.”

But then, with a grin, he thought something new,
“I’ll write how to blog! Yes, that’s what I’ll do!”
And out came the words in a splish-splashy spatter,
Like ink from a pen that’s gone mad with its chatter.

“When you’re writing a blog,” Zog typed with a grin,
“Start with a thought, and then pull it right in!
You’ll need a good hook, something funny or bright,
Like a dancing green dragon that juggles at night.”

He giggled and snorted, his words flowing free,
“They’ll need to know something as silly as me!
Give them some tips on how not to get stuck,
And tell them to write like they don’t give a cluck.”

Then he typed in all caps, “YOUR IDEAS MUST BE BOLD!
Don’t write about socks that are plain, old, and cold.
Write about socks that can sing, dance, and fly!
Write about socks that go zip through the sky!”

With a zip and a zap, Zog clicked “Publish Now,”
And his blog hit the web with a click and a POW!
His readers all laughed as they sat down to see,
A blog that was silly, just like it should be.

“Oh Zog,” they all said, “your words are a treat!
Your blog’s full of nonsense that’s wiggly and sweet.
We’ll follow your tips on how not to get stuck,
And write with a giggle, a snort, and good luck.”

So if you’re in Blunder and thinking of blogs,
Remember the tale of that clever Zog.
Let your words twist and turn, let them dance, let them play,
And your blog will be brighter at the end of the day.
